Occasions at a Traditional Pub

A venue for all events, a Wedding, Engagement, Birthday Party, Corporate Event, Funeral, Christening, family Gatherings, walking groups, motoring clubs and more. The Rose and Crown Trent pub has several different sized areas that can be used for different events.

Wedding Marquee in the Garden - What a great venue for that rustic wedding, with great open views. Create your own style be-spoke wedding within a relaxed pub atmosphere. See 'Weddings' section for more information on what we can offer for wedding hire.

Buffs Bar - A room off the main bar, but still part of the main bar for atmosphere, this area holds 20 people. It's an intimate room with an open fire place, low beams and flag stone appropriate for canapé parties, birthday parties and more formal sit down meals.

Conservatory Area of the Pub - A wonderful airy and light filled room, overlooking the garden and fields beyond, the room holds 30-40 on a formal basis or 50-60 on an informal basis that can be extended into the garden during the summer .This is our most popular event area.

Weddings

The Rose and Crown Trent with its rural, rustic and magical charm is a great setting for a wedding day. With a backdrop of the surrounding fields - in our conservatory area or in your own Marquee, a custom made menu created by award winning chefs, and a passionate front of house team who care about your special day leaving you to enjoy the perfect romantic Dorset wedding.

Event Hire

With each and every occasion different; an intimate gathering for four or a big celebration for over 100-150, the team at The Rose and Crown Trent has one aim in mind to make your occasion memorable. The pub has different sizes of rooms - small and intimate, roomy enough to hold a real celebration, or outside in the beautiful peaceful garden in an impressive marquee. The options are all very different.

The inn is situated next to St Andrews Church in the immaculate village of Trent. The inn, church and village alike have a long and varied history from medieval times. A few miles away lies the market town of Sherborne famed for its schools, Abbey and architecture. Rolling Dorset hills and the world renowned Jurassic coast lie to the south. To the east are the tranquil Somerset levels, whilst to the west is Stonehenge and Salisbury plain. The city of Bath is only an hour's trip to the north.

We offer a first class catering service, specially tailored to your requirements for any event. No matter the occasion, from anniversaries to birthday parties, funeral teas and wakes; we can provide you with catering to suit your needs. All the food is handmade by us in our kitchens at The Rose & Crown Trent using the finest, freshest local ingredients and produce.

Menus can be created for each individual event, so you and your guests can be sure of an unique dining experience, whatever the Occasion.
